My Background

I studied physics and philosophy at the Bachelor level in Munich before completing my Master's in Cambridge (Part III of the Mathematical Tripos). I then returned to Munich for an additional Master's in physics, during which I studied material reference frames in quantum gravity. For my PhD, I moved to Vienna, where I worked quantum foundations and its intersection with gravity under the supervision of Časlav Brukner and wrote my thesis on Quantum Reference Frames in Spacetime. Since 2025, I am a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at ETH in the quantum information theory group. Here, I continue to work on quantum reference frames, low-energy quantum gravity, and conceptual questions at the intersection of quantum theory and gravity.

Research Network: I am a member of the Basic Research Community for Physics, promoting fundamental research in physics in a community-focused manner, the WOST (Without Spacetime) Consortium, which brings together researchers from quantum information, quantum gravity, and the philosophy of physics, and part of the management committee of the COST Action on Relativistic Quantum Information.
